Ruling on Hajj from one who has a religion:
Whoever has a religion, then he has to perform it for his family, then he should perform Hajj and 'Umrah.

If the expense of the Hajj does not cover anything for the debt, then it is permissible for him to perform Hajj, because the Hajj is for living, and it is the right of Allaah to support him.
If a person has a deferred debt, he may perform Hajj unless the debt is settled, and he does not have to dispose of the debtors if he is able to repay.

It was narrated that Ibn Abbas (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said : "Follow Hajj and 'Umrah, because they deny poverty and sins . Narrated by al-Nasi.
